摘要: Comparisons between experimental data on visual-vestibular convergences at the neural, motor and perceptual levels yield following conclusions: (1) synergistic interactions congruent visual vestibular signals improve velocity coding during low-frequency steady-state body motion; (2) generally predominate over in low frequency range, while contrary applies higher range of movement; (3) inputs might be weighted depending their internal relevance. These common interaction characteristics suggest that modulation activity neurons constitute least part neurophy-siological substrate for cooperation postural regulation self-motion perception. In fact, it is well known nuclei are involved control through vestibulospinal influences [22,26,34], Nevertheless have been found to occur numerous nervous structures such as superior colliculus [8], cerebellum [21,33], primary cortex [24,29] cortical area [12]. Systematic investigations way two modalities interact these would help determine whether complex described this review actually take place within or simply reflected there after being integrated other structures.
