摘要: In vitro studies of gluconeogenesis in rat liver tissue have been carried out. The rates glucogenesis slices from rats suffering a Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection and injected with lethal dose Escherichia coli endotoxin measured. content certain key glucogenic enzymes was also measured these animals. specific studied were glucose-6-phosphatase, fructose-1,6-diphosphatase phosphoenol-pyruvate carboxykinase. overall rate shown to be impaired by endotoxemia. activity glucose-6-phoshpatase significantly lower the infected endotoxic animals than controls. other appeared unaffected.
