摘要: Capybaras, Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris, were studied in the Venezuelan llanos during peak of a dry season. As surface water and associated resources dwindled rodents’group sizes, activity pattern social behaviour studied. Capybara group sizes varied from habitat to way which seemed explicable by dwindling supply. Other described includes communal suckling young collaborative defence against predators.
