摘要: The cross-sectional sample consisted of data for 41 white men and 63 women, 67-92 years age who were healthy volunteer participants in the Aging Process Study at University New Mexico School Medicine Albuquerque, Mexico. variables anthropometric measures body fatness, blood lipids pressures. Correlations computed between principal component scores, ratios circumferences, W/S2, lipid values pressures each sex. In men, significant correlations abdomen/hip abdomen/thigh with scores HDL cholesterol, triglyceride systolic pressure. ratio had a low negative correlation cholesterol but positive levels. also pressure triglycerides. Multiple regressions used to determine further associations risk factors fat distribution indices. relationships levels fatness much stronger more complex than those or only associated after removing effects overall fatness. present findings indicate that large abdominal circumference, implying correspondingly internal adipose tissue deposit, produces health alterations this elderly individuals. younger adults, these changes are considered increase cardiovascular disease.
