摘要: The surface morphology of the human ovum fertilized and cultured in vitro to morula stage was studied by scanning electron microscopy with specific aim investigating embryo compaction polarity. Unfertilized oocytes examined one day after attempted insemination (Day 0) were evenly densely covered long microvilli. length density microvilli appeared decrease polypronuclear oocytes; a further observed Day 2 3 embryos 2-12 cells. No evidence or polarity any these stages. On 4, evident majority 10 more cells, dense again polarized distribution over free compacted blastomeres. This study provides ultrastructural that conceptus undergoes relatively marked at during 4 postinsemination development vitro.
