摘要: Characteristics of muon pair production in very high energy nucleus-nucleus collisions are discussed. Particular attention is given to comparing the rate pairs produced from thermalized quark-gluon matter that via usual Drell-Yan mechanism. The thermal at least same order magnitude as direct and will certainly dominate whenxF for approaches 1. BeyondxF=1 also substantial. This region particularly easily accessible fixed target experiments.
