摘要: Abstract A wave of stimulation to thymidine incorporation and mitosis in lens epithelium, initiated by a small mechanical injury, has been characterized. The is propagated at the approximate rate 17 μ/hr during period 24–48 hr following injury. is, some cases, followed second mitosis. area cells stimulated relatively large compared size original injury itself. appearance paired radioactive daughter nuclei approximately 10 hours or more 3H-thymidine indicates that majority which incorporate subsequently undergo division.
