摘要: In clinical practice, the reticulocyte count is most useful method to estimate red cell life span and production. However, experience of hematologists as well surveys have shown that counting reticulocytes often neglected in diagnostic work-up unclassified anemias, many physicians difficulties interpreting results. Formerly, this was partly due low precision manual counts. Today, largely replaced by flow cytometry, available almost all larger systems for automated blood analysis, at costs sufficient analytic precision. Interpretation supported calculated parameters such Reticulocyte Production Index. Here, authors discuss limits methods problems interpretation context laboratory profile setting.
