摘要: This article describes the most recent developments in synthesis of three-dimensional π-conjugated molecules and elucidation their properties made by our research group. Various cycloparaphenylenes (CPPs) different sizes a cage-like 3D molecule were synthesized based on platinum-mediated assembly π-units subsequent reductive elimination platinum. The this method mimics self-assembly process for formation supramolecular ligand-metal complexes with cages polyhedral structures. Furthermore, platinum successfully took place high efficiency, despite strain energy target molecule. Several size-dependent physical CPPs, namely photophysical, redox, host-guest chemistries, also clarified. These results are use molecular-level understanding CNT as well fullerene peapods. Theoretical electrochemical studies suggest that small CPPs derivatives should be excellent lead compounds molecular electronics.
