摘要: Measurements have been made of the total cross sections σ(p−p) and σ(p−d) over laboratory momentum range 1.1 to 8 GeV/c, with relative errors 0.1%. The absolute accuracies these are limited 0.3% by lack information which will allow Coulomb-nuclear interference be calculated accurately. Values σ(p−n) σ(I=0) deduced assuming Glauber correction. Structure is observed in near a mass value 2.75 GeV/c2; its interpretation discussed. rises rapidly 2.3 2.9 GeV/c2, this attributed onset strong inelastic scattering.
