摘要: Ten intense storms occurred during the 500 days of August 16, 1978 to December 28, 1979. From analysis ISEE-3 field and plasma data, it is found that interplanetary cause these are long-duration, large negative IMF B sub Z events, associated with duskward-electric fields greater than 5 mV/m. Because a one-to-one relationship was between events storms, suggested criteria can, in future, be used as predictors by an monitor such ISEE-3. These occur association amplitudes magnitude within two after onset either high-speed solar wind streams or density enhancement giving important clues their origin. Some obvious possibilities will discussed. The close proximity magnetic high speed sharp contrast Alfven waves HILDCAA previously reported, thus features corresponding geomagnetic responses can thought being complementary nature. An examination opposite polarity same show occurrence similar both number well disturbances, they lead low levels activity.
