摘要: Three series of main-chain liquid-crystalline polymers (P1, P2, and P3) were synthesized by an interfacial condensation reaction sebacoyl dichloride with various amount brilliant yellow, isosorbide, 4,4′-biphenydiol. P1 are polyesters prepared from chloride 4,4′-biphenyldiol isosorbide. P2 4,4′-biphenyldiol, P3 yellow. ionomers. P12 as model for comparison the liquid crystalline behavior ionomers, series. The structures characterized IR UV spectroscopy. Differential scanning calorimetry was used to measure thermal properties polymers. mesogenic investigated polarized optical microscope, differential calorimetry, X-ray diffraction measurements. results show that chiral smectic C (SmC*) B (SmB*) ionomers exhibiting broken focal-conic texture schlieren, is polymer P12, which has same 4,4′-biphenydiol introduction ionic units in leads increase clearing point, but not affected type texture, compared corresponding P12. a change mesophase, series, exhibit mesogetic phase. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
