摘要: According to some embodiments, a camera captures images at high dynamic range. These are then tonemapped into of lower range with enhanced contrast. The contrast enhancement for given pixel depends on the image's local variety different scales. Calculation this is accelerated by creating plurality low-pass filtered versions original image progressively stronger filtering; these may be stored increasingly resolutions in mipmap. Calculations use massively parallel processor and texture mapping unit hardware-accelerated sampling blended averages several pixels. Other embodiments shown discussed.
