摘要: Eastern Iran, including the Sistan suture zone, comprises boundary between Lut block and Afghan block. This research aims to reconstruct stress regime evolution from upper Cretaceous Quaternary based on brittle tectonic analysis. In this study, three episodic changes in regimes were recognized Shekarab Mountain using data inversion. places where conglomerate outcrops are present, state is obtained youngest slickensides. The indicates that direction of σHmax close N026°, which compatible with present-day Arabia-Eurasia convergence direction. Reconstruction fields age sense motion faults shows during was compressional, caused uplift peridotites ophiolites eastern part study area. According results first stage compressive average maximum axis (σ1) toward N337°. Eocene, transpressional N003°. Quaternary, strike-slip N026°. implies at least 49° clockwise rotation σ1 happened Mountain.
