摘要: We present a generic video codec, which is able to compress image sequences efficiently regardless of their input formats. In addition, this codec supports wide range bit rates, without significant changes in its main architecture. A multiresolution representation the data generated by Gabor-like wavelet transform. The motion estimation performed locally adaptive multigrid block-matching technique. This can handle both interlaced and progressive sequences, temporal redundancies being exploited interframe/interfield coding. perceptual quantization resulting coefficients then performed, followed entropy Simulations using different test demonstrate reconstructed signal good quality for rates. Thereby demonstrating that perform coding with reduced complexity high efficiency.
