摘要: The apicomplexan protozoan genus Atoxoplasma Garnham, 1950 is resurrected and the family Atoxoplasmatidae n. fam. established for homoxenous blood parasites of birds that develop asexually in both intestinal cells, form oocysts are passed unsporulated feces, sporulate on ground, then infect new hosts. A list 19 species given. desseri sp. evening grosbeak Coccothraustes vespertinus rose-breasted Pheucticus ludovicianus named.
