摘要: This article analyzes the efficiency of coaches in Top Spanish Basketball League and what determines this efficiency. To accomplish this, a stochastic production function is estimated. Among others, inefficiency determinants considered are whether coach an ex-professional player he from Spain. The results demonstrate that foreign more efficient. build upon these results, new approach to estimate coaches, which obtained by comparing their performance with expectations attained betting odds, proposed. were principally reinforced.
