摘要: OBJECTIVE—To assess growth in survivors of liver transplantation. Study design—Growth was studied 105 children up to seven years after Results—At transplantation, mean height standard deviation score (zH) −1.22 but 19% patients were severely retarded (height below 0.4th centile). Growth and pubertal retardation seen the first six months Significant catch puberty continued for more than five years. At years, zH −0.95 at −0.84. The final −0.55. predicted by bilirubin time transplantation prednisolone dose months. four cumulative dose. There no association between age sex, or diagnosis, although those with biliary atresia undergoing under 2 showed initial delay subsequent up. Average menarche 14.2years. Conclusions—The group have reached on 27th centile. Those transplanted earlier childhood are likely achieve normal heights. High steroid dose, poor function, retransplantation associated poorer outcomes. Persisting severe short stature is largely confined Transient occur early appropriate progress resumed two three
