摘要: Cuticular hydrocarbon (CH) profiles of four Periplaneta species were compared and their role in aggregation interspecific recognition was evaluated. CH are specific include from 19 to 25 hydrocarbons. P. brunnea, fuliginosa australasiae have more components common with one another than americana. americana hydrocarbons 24 43 carbon atoms but for the three other range 21 41 atoms. The major compound is 6,9-heptacosadiene that absent species. Brunnea 13-methyl pentacosane not found profile Major compounds tricosene pentacosane, respectively, males females. Binary choice tests demonstrated extracts induced High amounts required induce brunnea on conditioned sites, whereas low sufficient australasiae. These results suggest CHs involved recognition.
