摘要: Rationale, aims and objectives To develop a reliable valid questionnaire that can distinguish features of organizational culture for patient safety across subgroups such as hospitals, professions, management/non-management positions units/wards. Methods We developed Hospital Organizational Culture Questionnaire based on conceptual framework incorporating items from review existing literature. The was administered to hospital staff including doctors, nurses, allied health personnel, administrative at six public hospitals in Japan. Reliability validity were assessed through exploratory factor analysis, multitrait scaling Cronbach's alpha coefficient multiple regression analysis using staff-perceived achievement the response variable. Discriminative power with radar chart profiling. Results Of 3304 surveyed, 2924 (88.5%) responded. After finalized composed 24 following eight dimensions: improvement orientation, passion mission, professional growth, resource allocation prioritization, inter-sectional collaboration, responsibility authority, teamwork, information sharing. Construct internal consistency dimensions confirmed coefficients, respectively. Multiple showed prioritization sharing significantly associated higher practices. Our tool able among different subgroups. Conclusions Our demonstrated excellent reliability, revealed distinct cultural patterns subgroups. Quantitative assessment this may further understanding characteristics each subgroup provide insight into readiness improvement.
