Knowledge, Attitude and Practices of Food Safety Hazards among Street Food Handlers towards Sustainability of Food Industry

摘要: Street food is a prominent industry that plays an important role, and represents most of the culture in Asia other developing countries. Monitoring safety hazards (that is, physical, biological chemical) crucial for safeguarding, ensuring preserving sustainability prolonged business. Food handlers play key role throughout supply chain reduces alarming rate foodborne illness (FBI). Hence, this study aims to identify knowledge, attitude practices (KAP) hazard street Kuala Dungun, Sura Paka, Terengganu. Simple random sampling method was used select 76 participants data were gathered using semi-structured administrative questionnaires. Descriptive analyses done with frequency percentage scores evaluated against scale poor (0–49%), fair (50–69%) good (70% above). The results revealed majority responses show level knowledge towards physical among handlers, while questions on chemical given response. On contrary, less than half answered hazard, much feedback shows hazard. Thus, government agencies, private companies, academicians experts should work together increase awareness specifically aspect KAP holistically commercial trading industry.
