摘要: The evolution of the electronic structure linear atomic Ag chains on Ag(111) has been explored atom by using low-temperature scanning tunnelling microscopy and spectroscopy. Electronic states confined to are well described within a particle-in-a-box model. an unoccupied monomer resonance during synthesis dimer reveals that Ag–Ag interaction is predominantly direct owing large spatial extension p wave functions adsorbed atoms. hopping dynamics single have monitored time-resolved two-level conductance fluctuations tunnel junctions. Effective temperatures junction diffusion barrier heights in presence tip were extracted from voltage-dependent analysis fluctuation rate.
