摘要: The diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis is usually based on clinical criteria including homogeneous vaginal discharge, an elevated pH, the presence clue cells, and amine odor. We have evaluated flora signs for 593 pregnant women. Gardnerella vaginalis, Bacteroides spp., Mycoplasma hominis were isolated more frequently among women with than those without in multivariable analyses that controlled other bacteria. To determine laboratory method best predicted vaginosis, we calculated sensitivity, specificity, predictive value positive negative tests Gram-stained smears, gas-liquid chromatography fluid, G. vaginalis cultures compared signs. culture was sensitive (92%) both (78%) smears (62%) moderately identifying three four vaginosis. However, smear (95%) specific (69%) or (81%). a test also higher Gram staining (76%) (41%) (48%).
