摘要: NSAIDs are among the most widely prescribed medications across world, but gastrointestinal (GI) toxicity still remains biggest problem and challenge for current NSAIDs-based therapeutics. The development of selective COX-2 inhibitors was driven by assumption that inhibition would reduce GI side effects. However, initial enthusiasm has faded away due to emergence serious effects associated with long-term use these NSAIDs. In recent years, a number novel approaches develop gastrosparing have been explored promising results. This review deals such strategies employed in last two decades being used currently design safer
