摘要: Abstract The flexible plant postulated in this study would produce four types of batteries for electric-drive vehicles – a hybrid (HEV), 10-mile range and 40-mile plug-in hybrids (PHEV), 150-mile battery-electric (EV). annual production rate the is 235,000 battery packs (HEV: 100,000; PHEV10: 60,000; PHEV40: 45,000; EV: 30,000). cost savings per pack calculated with Argonne BatPaC model flex vs. dedicated plants from 9% EV to 21% HEV including management systems (BMS). investment are even larger, ranging EVs 43% HEVs. costs 1.0-kWh projected approach $714 unit that $188 kWh most favorable cell chemistries. best single indicator producing lithium-manganate spinel/graphite total area battery. For studied, price $20–24 m2 area, averaging $21 entire plant.
