摘要: Abstract 1. The effect of various combinations glucose and insulin on plasma NEFA concentrations were tested in normal pregnant, early puerperal, nonpregnant subjects. 2. responses observed dependent upon the amount administered as well time loading relation to that administration. Small amounts tended enhance falls plasma, while larger dosages produced smaller changes or stabilized fatty acid level. 3. relative carbohydrate rather than degree hyperglycemia hypophosphatemia appeared determine direction change concentration. experimental results are discussed terms known factors determining oxidation, esterification, release by adipose tissue. 4. Within a few days after onset labor concentration is increased its regulation extremely labile indicated sensitivity modification. This lability not puerperium. 5. Intravenous tolerance data influenced pregnancy metabolically patients despite evidence decreased reactivity exogenous insulin.
