摘要: Brownfield land is one of the least exploited resources for urban development in a number Eastern European countries. Establishing rational strategy redeveloping brownfields an unambiguously complex task that requires considering different economic, social, physical and environmental factors. The strategic decision-making has long term impact on quality life, ecological balance structure. Therefore, paper aimed at developing comprehensive set criteria contribute to redevelopment brownfield areas. It focuses six main strategies embrace creating residential, green, commercial, recreational activity industrial areas or leaving as reserve. Geographic information system (GIS) tools are employed collect spatial information, obtain initial derive statistical data. Expert’s evaluations along with method gauging level concordance their opinion combined Delphi used determining significance within (urbanistic) groups. This study establishes most significant implementing scenarios Vilnius, Lithuania. Developed framework will support process aiding sustainable planning.
