ZrO2 and TiO2 membranes for nanofiltration and pervaporation Part 1. Preparation and characterization of a corrosion-resistant ZrO2 nanofiltration membrane with a MWCO < 300

摘要: This paper reports the sol–gel preparation and subsequent characterization of ceramic multilayer membranes, comprising a mesoporous -Al2O3 or ZrO2 interlayer microporous toplayer. The optimized membranes show molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) 200–300 in standard nanofiltration tests after firing toplayer at 400 ◦C. For all-ZrO2 membrane, detailed study was made its corrosion behaviour. PEGretention, MWCO permeability were studied dynamic using aqueous solutions both low high pH values. Long-term (4 weeks) successive values 2, 13 1 demonstrated no significant loss performance for showing range 200–300.
