摘要: This chapter explores European bank efficiency and performance. First, the authors provide an overview of key estimation methods for discuss selected applications to banking sector. Second, they apply stochastic frontier analysis investigate extent which reallocation supervisory powers is associated with differences between banks. In doing so, discussion focuses particularly on whether direct supervision by Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) as opposed national competent authority (NCA) related cost profit efficiency.
