摘要: Health care restructuring, in an effort to control costs, has resulted marked organizational change with concomitant influences on nursing practice the hospital and community contexts. Such changes have increased levels of acuity among patients shorter stays. As a consequence, families are being asked assume greater roles illness family members. At same time societies therefore patient populations becoming increasingly culturally linguistically diverse. Yet, little is known about hospitalization help-seeking practices caregivers ethnoculturally diverse context nature support they require from health system. This paper addresses this gap knowledge. Here we draw upon data gathered two ethnographic studies enthoculturally community. Analysis identified 'resisting vulnerability' as process central families' experiences. examines resisting vulnerability how it was influenced by professionals structures Implications for discussed.
