摘要: A miniature gas turbine is under development with the aim of generating electrical energy from fuel. This system consists a compressor, combustion chamber, and generator. The single-stage axial impulse (Laval turbine) rotor diameter 10 mm, made stainless steel using die-sinking electro-discharge machining. It has been tested compressed air to speeds up 160 000 rpm generates maximum mechanical power 28 W an efficiency 18.4%. When coupled small generator, it 16 power, which corresponds for total 10.5%. density mainly limited by maximal speed ball bearings. main losses are blade profile exit losses. Higher can considerably reduce therefore increase density. An improved at temperatures 360 °C 44 16%. 20 mm centrifugal compressor matching pressure flow characteristics designed currently construction.
