摘要: The second class of glassy polymers that will be considered are thermosets. These highly cross-linked invariably used below their glass transition temperatures, in contrast to rubbers which tend lightly and above T g’s. Thermosets have a reputation being very brittle, intractable materials many modern developments been concerned with methods maximising improving toughness. One method doing this is by the addition second-phase particles, such as brittle fillers or rubber covered Chapter 11. An important use thermosetting especially epoxy resins high-strength adhesives.1 However, chapter only investigations into failure adhesive joints relevant cohesive fracture considered. Another thermosets matrix for fibre-reinforced composites but fibre not here it has reviewed extensively elsewhere.2
