摘要: The tips of rat sperm tails were slightly frayed by mechanical agitation, thus exposing the fibrils, which then studied electron microscopy after negative staining. Only fibrils survived this treatment. Each fibril proved to be a cylinder with hollow core. walls cylinders made up 10 longitudinally oriented filaments. filaments had markedly beaded appearance, repeating period 88 A. filament thickness (bead width) was approximately 35 40 Beads neighboring in register each other so that cross-linking bound together complete wall structure fibril. center-to-center spacing from one next 55 60 periodicity and diameters make it unlikely are related either actin or myosin.
