摘要: The ECF sigma family was identified 23 years ago as a distinct group of σ70-like factors. factors have since emerged major form bacterial signal transduction that can be grouped into over 50 phylogenetically subfamilies. Advances in our understanding these and the signaling pathways governing their activity elucidated conserved features well aspects evolved time. All are predicted to share common streamlined domain structure mode promoter interaction. most is controlled by an anti-sigma factor. nature factor activating appear within families, while considerable diversity exists between different families.
