摘要: The present study investigated the correlation between speakers’ self-reported Big Five personality traits (extraversion, neuroticism, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and openness to experience) their representational gesture production. In addition, possible interactions social situation, specifically whether gestures could be seen by listener or not, were examined. We found that extraversion neuroticism both positively correlated with also an interaction visibility condition. While speakers produce more when audience can see them than cannot, this difference is smaller for who report high levels of it other speakers. findings suggest speaker as well aspects situation are important contributors how frequently gesture.
