Summary Haematological and plasma biochemical parameters were recorded in 50 culled but clinically healthy adult male sheep (49 Blackface, 1 Cheviot) aged 3–7 years. The results, compared with values the veterinary literature, showed significantly lower for total red cells (8.5 ± 1.2 millions/cu. mm., P < 0.001), haemoglobin (8.7 0.2 G%, packed cell volume (27 4, an increased protein 0.8 0.001) globulin (5.5 0.9 calcium (8.8 mg%, 0.01). Non-significant changes included a slightly neutrophil percentage (36 11) magnesium (1.9 0.3 mg%). Biochemical renal tests (urea, inorganic phosphate creatinine) normal. Most of haematological abnormalities attributed to chronic disease processes such as fascioliasis, which was frequently detected post mortem. Hingegen waren folgende hoher: Totalprotein 0,8 0,001), Globulin (5,5 0,9 0,001). Der Plasma-Calcium-Gehalt war geringer (8,8 mg/100 0,01). Prozentsatz der neutrophilen Granulozyten etwas hoher V 11; kein signifikanter Unterschied) Plasma-Magnesium-Gehalt (1,9 0,3 Unterschied). Die Nierenfunktionstests (Harnstoff, anorganisches Phosphat, Kreatinin) meisten Abnormitaten chronischen Krankheiten (z. B. Fascioliasis), welche Sektion oft festgestellt wurden, zuzuschreiben. En comparacion con bibliografia veterinaria, animales presentaron valores significativamente inferiores cifra hematies mio/μl; 00,01), el contenido hemoglobina valor hematocritico Sin embargo, eran mayores siguientes: proteina globulinas El calcio plasmatico era menor porcentaje granulocitos neutrofilos algo mayor ninguna diferencia significante) magnesio significativa). Las pruebas renales bioquimicas fosfato inorganico, creatinina) normales. parte las anormalidades hematologicas podian atribuir procesos enfermedades cronicas (p. ej. fasciolasis), cuales evidenciaron menudo mortem.
