摘要: According to current consensus, the world will become warmer over next century as greenhouse gases continue accumulate in atmosphere (see Levine, Chapter 1, this volume; Slade, 1990). Changes atmospheric circulation patterns lead geographic adjustments climate and thereby affect regional local hydrologic cycles, but ways that are currently difficult predict. For example, precipitation climatically distinct regions may change by ± 20% runoff 50% (Schneider et al., Substantial shifts alter not only quantity of its variability timing well. Because many ecological processes regulated temporal distribution streamflow, major alterations regimes likely result modifications freshwater ecosystem structure function.
