摘要: Abstract Photo-degradation and biodegradability have been studied for three different families of non-biodegradable textile dyes (Intracron reactive dyes, Direct Nylanthrene acid dyes) a wastewater, using VUV photolysis. Ninety percent color removal dye solutions wastewater is achieved within 7 min irradiation. Biological oxygen demand (BOD) was found to increase during discoloration process while chemical (COD) decreased. The index (BOD5/COD) increases up 0.40 most the when total obtained. It implies that photolysis tends enhance containing solutions. Thus, this technique could be used as pre-treatment step conventional biological treatment.
