摘要: Abstract The retrofit design of heat exchanger networks (HENs) presents a more difficult challenge to mathematical programming methods even than grassroots design. Pinch technology based on thermodynamics take no account in their pure form the benefit be gained by using existing area HEN or repiping costs which may significant. A novel approach problem Constraint Logic Programming (CLP) is described here. It employs set heuristics derived from an interactive method published earlier ( Lakshmanan and Banares-Alcantara, 1996 ), uses CLP efficiently prune out unattractive solutions.
