摘要: Mental rotation is a cognitive process that involves performing rotations on visual images or objects, which has played significant role in humans’ evolutionary past. Sex differences mental ability have been extensively assessed using the Vandenberg and Kuse (1978) Rotations Test. This test produces consistently higher scores for men than women, led numerous researchers to conclude males superior ability. The causes of this sex difference widely debated, research remains inconclusive. Various challenged legitimacy male advantage by investigating moderating factors are part assessment process. Here we show, through use photographs three-dimensional models, form stimuli can eliminate difference. Our results suggest found not due spatial ability, but an artifact stimuli.
