Library Web page usage: a statistical analysis

摘要: To improve the design of library home page and facilitate user access to it, a Web usage analysis was conducted by Humanities & Social Sciences Services at Texas Aamp;M University General Libraries through examination statistics generated tracking software, which many managers are now implementing. The study examined geographic distribution users patterns page, peak times, computer environment information, includes type browsers, operating systems, screen resolutions, colors, etc. In addition, also compared gathered before after library’s promotion activities, measure effectiveness these business management marketing efforts. findings concentrate on identifying problems, thus allowing establishment recommendations that will modify standards strategies promotion.
