摘要: This paper presents a study of Street Pastors in Cardiff, the capital city Wales. are Christian volunteers who look after vulnerable people night-time economy. In this manner, they provide securitas through empathy and care. The motives for engaging with partygoers multi-layered, but their personal faith appears to be key explanation. A certain kind orthodox certitudo – being safe in, saved by, higher power gives pastors strength go out on street, face unknown feel compassion fellow citizens. As such, both ‘securitas’ ‘certitudo’ highlight positive (that is, constitutive) connotations safety security not commonly heard criminological literature.
