摘要: Abstract Dissemination of protoscoleces-rich fluid during surgical operation for cystic echinococcosis is a major cause its recurrence. Instillation scolicidal agent into hydatid cysts to reduce the risk spillage viable protoscoleces an integral part technique employed by many surgeons. In this study, protoscolicidal effect chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA) was investigated. Freshly isolated were subjected CDCA treatment (500, 1000, 2000, and 3000 μmol/L), effects on investigated with help 0.1% eosin staining, electron microscopy, colorimetric assay caspase-3 like activity. Dose-dependent mortality Echinococcus granulosus observed within few days treatment. The treated showed loss viability, morphological changes such as contraction soma region, formation blebs, rostellar disorganization, hooks, destruction microtriches, vesicles, lipid droplets, lamellar bodies. Apoptosis evident in protoscoleces, compared control group, which cultivated nearly 3 months. Our study indicates therapeutic potential against E. granulosus. However, further studies are needed test long-term animal models.
