摘要: As part of a study the crack arrest capabilities tough steels[1], efforts are underway to simulate rapid extension and in elastic-plastic finite element models. first step, stationary cracks compact tension specimens have been modelled effects loading rate, strain rate sensitivity inertia on JI examined. The aim this work is examine those features plastic zone influential determining toughness, namely, size process zone, tip opening displacement.
