摘要: Aiming at producing a concentrate with silica content lower than 1.00%, laboratory experiments were conducted using sample of the from Samarco's mechanical flotation, which presented 3.08% content. This was split in two size ranges: +105mm and -105mm. The -105mm fraction, representing 76.69% initial mass, submitted to another generating 0.61% fraction +105mm, 23.31% ground 100% -105mm, deslimed, flotation. Concentrates 0.90% obtained. Considering mass proportions fractions, calculated is 0.68%, considered satisfactory for objective this investigation. major reasons are presence silicon lattice goethites residual slimes pores porous hematite.
