摘要: The density profile of the rarefaction wave which follows a detonation has been determined using technique x‐ray absorption measurements to follow rapid gas changes. observed density‐time dependence was found agree, within experimental errors, with predictions hydrodynamic theory developed by Taylor, Doering, and others. As predicts, in decreases for approximately one‐half distance traveled wave; behind this is region quiescent at constant density.
