摘要: When exploring a new country, one needs good map. The Earth's magnetosphere is such and its “maps” are models of the geomagnetic field. In essence they mathematical prescriptions implemented by computer which, given (x,y,z) point other supporting information, return point's expected magnetic components (Bx, By, Bz) [Tsyganenko, 1990]. At present, empirical field Tsyganenko [1987, 1989a, c; denoted henceforth as T87 T89] often used in various studies magnetosphere. Stern [1990] has devised modifications with current-free tail lobes plasma sheet that warps response to dipole tilt [Peredo Stern, 1991].
