摘要: The classification of human cancers represents one the cornerstones modern pathology. Over last century, surgical pathologists established current taxonomy neoplasia using traditional histopathological parameters, which include tumor architecture, cytological features and cellular proliferation. This morphological is efficient robust with high reproducibility has served patients health care providers well. most recent decade witnessed an explosion genome-wide molecular genetic epigenetic data for cancers, including tumors endocrine organs. availability this expansive multi-dimensional genomic data, collectively termed cancer genome, catalyzed a re-examination tumors. Here, genome studies various tumors, those thyroid, pituitary adrenal glands, pancreas, small bowel, lung skin, are presented special emphasis on how insights impacting classification.
