摘要: Abstract We cannot effectively reduce the carbon-related urban energy use without first having a good method for measuring it at an effective scale. Most prior research has usually considered consumption of buildings and transport separately, but is better understood when both uses are together. This paper introduces new metric that combines transport. Estimates calculated from readily available data simplicity methodology enables its replicability. attractive policy-makers planners by delivering them tools more direct control local-level policies. Using LSOA geographic level mapping results produces helpful insights into patterns how two can be combined to support mitigation measures. When applying case study in United Kingdom, maps produced show, amongst other things, rural commuter belts disproportionately energy-hungry assessed per capita. Urban living revealed as most efficient this level. The integrated modelling approach demonstrated here improves understanding enable planning strategies demand negative impact.
