摘要: Most fishes living under natural conditions express daily rhythms in their behaviour, physiology and biochemistry. Much of what do is temporally organized with respect to the environmental day-night cycle. Investigations timing diel on either a or seasonal basis should consider four major classes criteria: (i) endogenous (circadian) rhythms; (ii) photoperiod; (iii) photoreceptive and; (iv) specific ecological behavioural characteristics species being investigated.
